Last night I was crushed over not being able to pick up the dachshund puppy that I wanted. You can see the other thread here. (http://www.dachsie.org/vbb/showthread.php?t=45060)
Well, my SIL called me last night and told me she had something important to ask me. She said she had been thinking about it for a while but she wasn't sure if I was really ready for another dog so she didn't ask. She knew now that I was actively looking for a dog. She asked me to take her dog. She said she knew how much I loved my pets and that she wanted that for her dog. She told me she really didn't have time for the dog and just didn't realize what she was getting into.
So, on Saturday, DeeDee will become a big sister to a miniature pinscher. I already know they get along well because they have played together well before. I am so happy with the way things worked out.
