Why are dachshunds so cuddly?

Why are they so cuddly? Tell me what you think, and if you love to cuddle with your pup!

We just LOVE to snuggle with him. In fact, one of our nicknames is "Snuggle BUtt" and another one is "Blanky Boy" because he LOVES to be under the blankies with us. When he is warm, the aroma of "frito feet" fills the air. Nothing like snuggling with a dachsie!

2 out of 3 are happy to just lay on the bed. I have to remind them not to lay there heads and bodies across my legs and feet. But my Con has to be right by my legs and under the covers. Of course I have extra blankies for the others to burro in. But don't tell the girls at work they think I am totally off the wall about my dogs already. I just tell them hey I am not the only one!;) There is a lot more of all of "U" out there!:nuts: :thumbsup:

I know other dogs are cuddlers too (and some doxies aren't) but this breed does seem to be the cuddliest. is that a word?

Maybe it is the burrowing instinct from being bred to hunt badgers. (?)

And do I like to Dachshund Cuddle????? Best sport in the world! And like Meemoo, I love the "frito feet".

Of course! It is sometimes difficult to get everyone on the couch or in bed at once, but my 4 girls are always there and most of the fosters try to be. Rena and the ever expanding Waco pack (9 under the covers by Saturday)

Willie Weasle loves to cuddle.....He loves to go under our shirts and sweaters . He is either cold or just wants to be close to someone.Sometimes when he sits on my husbands lap he will put his head into the sleeve of his flannel shirt..It looks like my husbands muscles are very very large lol. I love to cuddle with him he is sooo warm and toasty .. We cuddle everynight...
