Lake Murray Reservoir is part of the Mission Trails Regional Park and open every day for picnicking (10 barbecues and 64 picnic tables), walking, jogging, fishing and boating. Rent a boat on Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday. They have rowboats, boats with 5 HP outboard motors, and canoes. Bring your own boat for a $5 fee. The lake is very popular for bicycling, jogging, walking, rollerblading because of the paved 3.2 mile path going from the parking lot to the dam gate. It's one way so you must return the way you came for a total of 6.4 miles round trip. Dogs are required to be on a leash :cheer:

Oh....how lucky you are!!! That sounds like a little piece of heaven for you and your puppers:happy030:.
Just yesterday my hubby took D a walk since it is warming up and they walked 4 miles!!! I almost got mad at him for taking her such a long walk for the first time in a while. I was afraid her legs would fall off! He said she LOVED it and didn't slow down one bit.
The good thing is when they got home around 3pm, she slept until it was time to eat and then again until bedtime and even went straight to bed and didn't wake up until her usual time this morning:happy030:.
Take some pictures on your walk for us:Sun2:!!! I need to see some sun for a change. I'm getting so tired of this rain and dreary weather.

Cool, the description makes me want to go, as it sounds nice.

LOL on the 1.6 miles from home. I'm horrible with directions here (my sight is limited so, I really don't pay that much attention). When my husband was deployed another wife and I would go on a major shopping trip once a month. We had a great shopping center about 3 miles from my apt...she lived in SA all her life...well coming back from the shopping center she made a wrong turn it took us 35 min to get home and only 6 min to get there, sadly we had no clue where we were.
I can only imagine the laugher of our husbands as they were in transportation.
