It's a great food, honestly, one of the best on the market these days. They also produce a "food roll" that isn't canned food, but isn't dry either. Good stuff.

I've been feeding this to my girls for some time now along with Steve's Real Food (70/30). Roll/Steve's twice a day, dry is free fed. Our coats are silky, shedding is minimal and stools always good!

Gotta watch your portioning with the rolls. I found that cutting the slices isn't an exact science. You're better off pulverizing it in the food processor and weighing it out. This is very similar to RedBarn, but sold by retailers. My personal preference is the turkey formula, but beef and lamb are also available.

This is what we feed the kids and they love it. They do very well on it. I have also found I can feed smaller portions.

BUT it has WHEAT in it which he does not do well on, otherwise I'd try this in a heartbeat. Wheat is a common problem for some dogs as far as allergies and tummy problems.

LOVE it too! Con-Man has the bald, or naked dog thing going on. Even had the test to make sure it wasn't thyroid or something else. But sense we have had him on this he has gotten a thicker coat and the baldness isn't as bad. Under the belly has even come in some. With doxies it just wears off on some of them.
I haven't tried the sausage roll though yet.
I have tried a lot of different foods and this one he had no problems at all. Like getting gas etc.:caffeine: It's not cheap but in the long run worth the extra money.

Redbarn is very similar to the Natural Balance, but I believe it uses a rice based flour instead. You might look into it instead. It's not sold at retail stores, only by online order or local distributors.

and she hasn't had any problems at all with problems with the wheat in it. I'm just glad I finally found a good dog food that I don't have to buy on line. Even though I have to drive 30 mins to get it, it's better this way.

All my kids love it. I do have to drive about 40 minutes to get it, but it is worth it because I feel like it is a quality food that they actually like and I don't have to order it through the mail! I would not be able to free feed with it though because some girls would never stop eating.

for that info BUT when I looked at the site the only formula that had rice as opposed to wheat was the lamb and those are 2 ingredients that Chief doesn't do well on , wheat and lamb. Oh well..Thanks for the thought.
