I realize our rescue is a lot different than others and much smaller...
We keep in very close contact with everyone that has adopted one of our doxie babies...AND this was suggested to us by 3 different families that have adopted....and it is a wonderful idea!!!:cheer:
Since most people HATE to leave there pet w/ a stanger/kennel etc...and wonder if their pups are stressed while on vacation...
Adopters have asked if we would pet sit their pups while they are out of town and DONATE THE COST of what they would have paid a pet-sitter or kennel for boarding....
That way they know their pets are being spoiled rotten and they can enjoy themselves with out worry.....
WHAT A WONDERFUL IDEA ...Thank you to the wonderful families for thinking of it...
SO we are already booked...
I have Fenway for 7 days starting Monday
LeeAnne has ALLIE...for 10 days in June and
Wally and his brother for 8 days in JUNE....

That will equal a LOT of funds to help Vet the rescues.....
I thought I would pass along the idea to others :hearts:

I think it is a wonderful idea. I wish you were located in Northeast Ohio so I could leave my little guys with you.

Cat,

I do it all the time.

However I have gotten to the point I normally only do "in my home sitting" for special needs any more. Tomorrow and I getting Heidi (a cart wonder) and her sister Josie for a week.

Not to mention YO ...as you know it is ALWAYS wonderful to spend time with the babies you grew to love and nuture :Sun2:
We have done it also in the past (for free) ...but it was our families that suggested it being a way to raise funds for the rescue....:hearts:
