We never had this problem before but since I've moved Mitzi has separation anxiety. She has become my shadow in the new house. She has all of her stuff but until last night she didn't leave my side for more then a few mins at a time. Last night she stayed and looked out the window for apprx. 30 mins in another room from where I was.

When I go outside to the car or whatever she cries and carries on scraching at the door. When she kennels up she does the same thing. I don't make a fuss over her when I leave. I don't make a fuss over her when I get home. This has gone on now for 2 weeks with no signs of let up. What should I do?

Now my father thinks it's inhumane to leave Mitzi in her kennel while I'm at work. I would love to leave her out but I can't while she is going through this separation anxiety. When my father is in home (he's a truck driver) he baby sits with Moo during the day (it's because he misses her so much) and she is fine when he leaves her and hasn't had any accidents in the house in months. But, she has Emily my folks lhasa for company. I just don't know what I need to do in order for her to be able to feel comfortable at home while I'm gone. Any advise?

Right now you are the only thing Mitzi has to cling to that is *home*. So it makes sense that she will behave strangely until she sees her new abode as *home*.

Good luck and please keep us posted . . .
