Big benched dog show coming this weekend. Anyone going, either as a spectator or exhibitor? I'm going Sunday as a spectator. Haven't been to a dog show in like 7 months. There's a good amount of Dachshunds entered, hopefully they'll do well in group!

Of course. :) Although I may miss the longhairs. But I will definately be watching the smooths, and the wires, I think. For some reason, at the International, the different Dachsie varieties are judged at all these different times. It makes it a little confusing! Oh well.:cool: I can't wait, tho. I've never been to a benched show!

Yesterday, the day I went, a smooth Dachshund won the hound group! Darn! I knew I should have stayed for group! Oh well. But I did see some of the longhairs and all of the smooths. There was a pair of lovely mini longhair creams. I've never seen a cream before, they're gorgeous! And the smooth Dachshund that won Best of Variety at Westminster this year was there as well, winning Best of Opposite. My dad and I both took a ton of pictures, I hope they come out! Once they are developed and we get a scanner, I'll see if I can post some of the Dachsie pics for ya guys! :)

Oh you lucky doxie lover:D I have always wanted to go to a benched show it just never works out. Working weekends can be a pain at times. But hey this coming weekend is the Specialty Show and I am planning on being there. Unless something comes up.
Can't wait to see the pics you post.

The Badger Dachshund Club is having a Specialty on March 1st. I'll go to help if needed and of course to see all those cutie doxies. I don't show at all, to much money not enough time, and I just am not any good at it. Plus my pack loves to just sit back and get spoiled. Then there is the fact that walking on those cold cement floors, yuk. The older you get, the fatter you git, and the broker you are. :blue:

:bounce: I hope the weather is good and I can find the place. Somewhere near Waukashaw or Mill. I will have to check it out before I go.

Ah, well have fun! Look for the handler named Carlos Puig. He's my fave pro handler! He's shown a lot of top Dachshunds, as well as other breeds.

And I got a bunch of the pics developed. There's still a bunch more, but I need to finish off the rolls before I can get them developed. They came out pretty good. :)
We might get a scanner this weekend, so I'll see if I can scan them!
