Paul,
Well, at the beginning they have it right, all of a sudden they switched to Peter.
But it's a great article, it's a nice tribute to you as a rescuer, as well as to Johanna for being such a survivor.
Thanks for sharing.

What a great feature story about Johanna!! :hearts:
It is very heartwarming that these paralyzed babies capture the attention of people who can get the news out about them. The more people that know about them - the better chance that there will be more adoptions & Forever Homes that will be found for them.
It is very difficult to find Forever Homes for these precious little ones.
:hug2: Thanks to you & your loving wife that the ones who made it to your house will find the happiness & care that they need. :hug2:

A reporter from The Calais Advertiser, the local weekly paper, stopped by this morning and interviewed Johanna and I, so I guess the word is out!
I also received a call from someone that wants to volunteer as a DRNA foster home! This is turning out to be a great story!

What a powerful story........
I didn't know that was what happened to Johanna. I can't imagine the horror of that.
With such a cruel start to her life, Johanna has certainly blossomed. Her story is very inspirational, and you and your wife are angels for opening your home and hearts to so many dogs in need.
Good job, Peter!
Uh, I mean Paul!!!!

That was certainly horrible what those kids did to Johanna, so glad someone like you found her. The aritcle made me laugh when it read she had worn out the wheels on her first cart. They say there is a reason for everything and so far it looks as tho Johannas story is going to help many others.

Every time I read about Johanna's past, it makes me cry, again. I can barely think about it. It kills me, that much.
What a little angel she is. I just love her! Paul and Michelle, you are truly heroes.

Paul,
That story was so touching! I swear the ones that have "issues" tend to know they were given a second chance. I also am involved in the PA area with DRNA. I'm getting my 2nd foster next week. Hopefully your story reaches many who would never have considered adopting a "special needs" pup.
Best wishes,
