Up here in NY state it is winter for 3 seasons,I swear. I'm trying to think of a way to make a memorial outside for our late Jakey (rat terrier brudder of Gunther). Hmmm maybe a bird feeder type of memorial... any other ideas? It has been over a week that he is gone. I miss him and his short little ears...I seemed to sense his presence for about a week-interestingly my vet stated that this feeling was common.

It's so hard not thinking about them all the time when they are gone, they are such a part of our life and we always miss them:angel:. When our Sweetpea passed several years ago (our oldest cocker) my MIL & SIL's gave us $$'s to buy an oak tree to honor her. It's in our front yard and getting so big!! After Popeye (our 2nd cocker) passed we got a bird bath and it's next to the tree and last year after our Miss Olive passed we got these stepping stones with all the cocker's names on it, and they are in front of the tree now. I also want to plant flowers eventully around the tree.

Here is the link I posted a few months ago with the stepping stones info. .

Hello, Not sure if anyone else tried to access the www.pcnaws.com link in the post I copied below a couple of weeks ago but the shopping link wasn't working, a couple of us tried it and it wouldn't work. I just tried it again and it's working if you are interested:cheer:

Have a great day:flowerysmile:

Yes, thanks for the site. But when i say it's winter here 3 seasons- snow, snow and snow- I really might paint a bird feeder with a pic of him on it, somehow. It's been a month since he is gone.I am so at peace with the decision that this in itself feels "wrong" in a way. Perhaps I am more at peace with this as I had talked with Jake many times about the "decision".
