Going to the lake & taking all three. .

wish us luck:bflower: We are taking the furkids and renting an SUV and heading down south to the lake with some friends. The boys went a couple of years ago but this is Miss Vanna's first trip and first real social event so :crsfnger: she does ok.

I bought a new x-pen to take with us and since Cosmo outgrew his life jacket Miss Vanna got his hand me down:laughitup: and now he has a new Camo jacket (Joey's going to be so jealous since he has the ugly orange one still).

I guess my biggest concern is Miss Vanna might start barking and not stop:wonky: Lots of sounds in the woods but I'm sure she'll be fine. There will be four kids down there so they should have fun playing with the pups.

I'll be back Sunday night to get my DBB fix (I'm not a big lake fan so I'm glad my furkids are going with me while hubby spends the weekend fishing:D)

Well we are back and had a wonderful time!! I'll try to get some pictures and video downloaded and posted. The puppers did so good!!! and the kids loved them. Miss Vanna was so brave running down the ramp and barking and biting at the little waves with Joey. She's a little nervous with people but is very adventurous otherwise, which I'm so glad for. :party011:

Saturday morning I noticed her limping around on those rocks so after inspection I found she lost an entire back toenail!! poor little thing, it's just a little nail stump now:uh-oh: She never made a sound or a complaint, she is just like our Miss Olive :angel: was, tough as nails! We are sure she probably did it when we got there Friday night on the metal stairs going into the house. We knew from the last time we were there to avoid those steps but she must have did it before we started using the other steps. When I took the sheets off the bed Sunday morning I could see where there was a little blood. She was licking her feet Friday night but I just thought their little feet were tired from all the rocks and sticks they were walking through. I'm so glad that was the only issue and that she doesn't even act like anything happened.

Yes, they barked a lot, Miss Vanna always starts it:pull_hair: But my friends thought they behaved wonderful, yes they barked but they always stopped quickly so Robin said it bothered me more than anyone else. Oh, they all did get car sick on the way down, those winding curves did it. thank goodness I had towels and blankets covering everything!! Then Joey threw up the lake after swallowing most of it attacking the waves, it really was cute. I felt bad for him but he just threw up all this water and looked at me kind of funny, I said I told you buddy that was going to happen:duh:

You can see where Cosmo barely gets his feet wet! Not a big fan of the water! I feel so bad watching the videos, you can tell Miss Vanna was limping not just walking tenderly on the rocks!
