Casper remembered...

Hello my friends,

Well today marks the one year anniversary that my beloved Casper went to the bridge. Not a day goes by without my thinking of him and missing him. He was truly an angel. I watched him go down twice and recuperate, only to be felled by an inoperable brain tumor. While he became physically weak, his spirit never faltered. Casper will always be my inspiration. I cry as I write this because I miss him so, even though I know he is running and playing with our cat Freckles who passed 5 months later. I once said to Linda that Casper was the "best dog ever". She put it better saying that he was "the best being ever". I agree. We watched him go through so much in his 8 years and he always maintained his good nature and affection. It is because of the love that he showered on us that we have adopted 4 more doxies. We want to honor his memory by trying to give back as much love and care that he showed us.

Casper, my baby, you are in my heart always and I love you and thank you for allowing us to share your short time here on earth. Bless you. :hearts:

I think about Casper a lot and how you tried so hard to safe him--he was sooo lucky, to be part of your family. You have given him so much--most people couldn't even affort that.

A very nice tribute. And I feel like you by sharing our love with other new companions we aren't trying to replace those we have lost but are instead paying tribute to their memory. After all they are always in tune with our memories and never like to see us sad.
