Showing in KY?

I am getting a new puppy sometime this year and we've been talking about getting into showing. Our breeder suggested us visiting some shows and talking to the people there, but I'm not sure where to look. I've been on the opbvious sites AKC DCA Nat. Mini Dach. Club and several others, but there doesn't seem to be any shows in our state let alone our area. I find it hard to believe that to be true, so I was wondering if there was anywhere else I could look or something. Thanks!

Go to the American Kennel Club website - akc.org, then to Event and Awards search, click on your state and it will list upcoming shows in KY. Just doing a very quick search, I found several in Louisville for 2009. Hope this helps.
