ok - I am ready to go - how about a DBB trip to Berline with our hot dogs? I remember seeing two standard long hair dachshunds lying quietly under the table at a restaurant in Munich. It's a nice dream, isn't it?

Allright now, who's gonna set this up. Group rate? I've been to Germany but not Berlin. I grew up in bilingual household yet I am a dunce with the language. I am a Bach fanatic. So- when ya'll set it up, keep this in mind.

I lived in Germany for about 3 months, also, back in the early 60's - way before my dacshund days, however. My ex was in the USAF, and was stationed in Spangdahlem. What a country!!! I'd love to go back and visit.

I'm a little too big to curl up in the luggage, but Dewey and Chance might want to take you up on that offer.
Have a great trip, and make sure we see pics when you return.

I am an Army Brat and we lived on the base in Munich (is now apartments). While living there we found a dachshund at a park. Well, this dog followed us home and stayed with us. My father tried to find the owner and could not. So we kept him. We called him Rusty and he lived till he was about 18 years old (at least we think). He was my first rescue at about age 5! Dad decided Rusty needed a companion so he brought home a puppy for Christmas and we called her Hiedi. She lived a long life as well. We did move to the States in Northern NY~ Massena.
