This weekend I found a flash ball at PetCo that not only flashes, but makes 8 different sounds. It was on sale and cheaper than the regular flash ball I'd been eyeballing at Walmart. Gidget loves it. She's figured out how to make it work by picking it up and flinging it. Buddy Lee on the other hand (being the wuss that he is), doesn't really like it. He will chase and retrieve it if I roll it on the carpet. But, if it makes noise, he turns around and runs from it with his tail tucked between his legs. Still a pretty cool toy.

We have a few flash and fetch balls here. Jake loves em :) We were given one that didn't flash... but a new one I got today is the same color... and flashes... Jake doesn't know which one he is getting :)

I've been thinking about ordering a flash ball for Bonnie. Are these things pretty sturdy? Bonnie is notorious about destroying her toys, but will these hold up for a while? She absolutely LOVES to play in the sunshine on the floor....or just look at the wall if the sun is shining on it....she's a little weird. Anyway, she loves lights and I think she would have a blast with these things.

My only concern is that she would rip it apart and eat something she shouldn't. It's not like she plays with her toys unsupervised, but she's a very aggressive chewer with her toys. She can't have stuffed toys anymore.....she shredded part of a black Kong toy.....and we have to watch her with her squeaky balls. She'll eat part of it if she can rip a piece off.

Anway.....just interested in your opinions of the flash balls...

Thanks,

Carey

Jake has the "Fetch & Flash" from Sun Pet toys (http://www.sunpettoys.com/). He has yet to put any kinda damage on them. He tries to get his mouth around it... but can't :)

Jake has 3 of these total. One red and one green that flash and one green that doesn't flash. He plays with all of them...

The ones we have, have two flashers on either side that flash when the ball is jolted. Sometimes it takes more of a knock to make em flash too :)

For a dog who shreds fabric toys, pulls plastic squeakeys apart... this was a pretty good buy for him!

Gidget plays pretty rough, too. This ball is very sturdy, it feels like solid rubber. It's about the size of a racquetball, maybe a little bigger.

Thank you both for the info...

This sounds like Bonnie's dream toy.....I think I'll look for one at the store tonight or order one off the Internet if I can't find one tonight...

Bonn will have fun chasing it and watching the lights
