Okay, I'm officially in love with my dog.

Coco has been eating Pro Plan puppy food since I brought her home over a month ago, and two things lead me to believe that she's having problems digesting it: 1) she's still very interested in eating her own poop; and 2) recently she's been pooping up to five times a day!

I'm thinking that gradually switching her over to Nutro Natural Choice puppy food would be better for her.

Has anyone here had any experience with Pro Plan dog food? I'd hate to think I've been feeding crap to my baby!

I don't know much about ProPlan, but Jake was on the Nutro Natural Choice Puppy and did fine with it. He would scarf it down!!

I have since moved him on to adult food!

If you do switch... please make sure to do it gradually... and not all at once!

a very good food. It has lots of fillers and corn. You want to feed a dog food that is human grade and has meat in the first ingredients. Dogs are carnivores-MEAT eaters and do best with as much meat and some veggies. They do not digest corn, wheat, byproducts, etc well.

Here's a great link that tell you what to look for in a good quality kibble as well as mentioning the top ones rated by the Whole Dog Journal. This link has so many other links and it is just a wonderful link to have bookmarked IMO.

Good luck!

thanks blazeman & meemoo. :)
i've bookmarked that link and intend to start reading those dog food labels more carefully.
coco still has an aversion to going potty outside, so here's hoping that nutro settles down the frequent poopies!
