Hedgehog

A few days ago we had to throw away Buddy's beloved hedgehog. He was leaking stuffing and missing a foot and part of his nose. That was one of Buddy's favorite toys. It was almost as big as he is :yikes: Watching him play with it was more fun than watching tv. He would hold it in his mouth so that the body was in front of him and run and hop on it so it would make the grunting noise that he like it was hysterical:bounce2: watching this little dog bouncing on this stuffed hedgehog through the living room. Unfortunalty Mandy , Daisy or Buck must have gotten a hold of him and started chewing the fuzz off of him because it was going bald on top. Eventually someone chewed a hole in his nose and we had to throw him away. I think Buddy misses him:crying: but next time I go shopping I'll see if I can find another one.:partytim:

Poor buddy... he lost a food friend.

He will be fine though... and I bet you can find another ones no problem :)

Oh NO he must be so sad! He needs to go shopping at the pet shop were he can pick out his own! Just remember nothing that is live and prickley. Like a real hedgehog!:dizzy: OUCH! You are so lucky to have a doxie that can play with stuffed toys! Most of them last less than half an hour here.:fierce: Those f:fierce: fierce doxies gotta get dat critter!:cunning: :raz:

Buddy's not missing his hedgehog much now. It's gotten nice and he's outside almost all day and he likes to run after the other dogs or dig or do whatever else they do when we're not looking:eek:
The next stuffed toy we get will only be allowed to be played with when Bucky and Daisy aren't here ( they are my aunt in law and mother in law's dachsies) .
When Bucky's here Buddy must think he's a moving stuffed toy ( he's a miniture long hair )because they wrestle the whole time they're together:caffeine:

The last place I saw hedgehogs was at Walgreens. They got 3 or 4 in their dog toy section. We have moved on to the stuffingless toys by material dogs which seem to last forever. Just added the teddy bear to the collection. Rena and the Waco 7 pack (9 for the weekend)
