We brought a travel trailer last summer and plan to use it this summer with the dogs. I was wondering how to keep them quite :zzzz:at night in a camp ground they bark at every little nosie. I would hate to get kicked out of a place because of their barking, so please give me some ideas how to keep them quite.:thanx:

Do you crate your puppers at all? We have a pop up and camp lots with Buddy. We haven't tried out Kooper yet! When home or away, Buddy has always been in a crate. He has the exact same kennel setup for travel as he does at home, just in a smaller size. At night, we always cover him up and unles he hears animals, he is quiet.
I have no clue what we will do this summer. The closest place to us only allows one dog on the site so they both may be boarded - not sure. Maybe with the economy, they'll just welcome folks who want to camp; have to wait and see.
Have fun camping!!! Hope to see lots of pics from your upcoming trips!

We have a travel trailer also and take all three with us and they are usually all barkers. We also have three expens that we atache together and the hubby cut a hardware cloth piece to fit under the steps so we have a "fenced yard" so to speak and yes when we are out there they bark at everything. They do not bark at night unless someone is close to our trailer or making a lot of noise. Ours bark a lot more at home. Come to think of it they didn't bark last summer when we stayed at hotels so maybe they don't feel the need to protect when they are not at home, dunno about that one. We were concerned too but have never been asked to leave any campground and at one private one we were right beside the owners trailer.
I only found this night picture on my computer but I think you can get the idea of the "fence". We do have to tie Gabe to the steps as he will just climb over the fence in about two seconds!

We took our camping this past summer, we have a camper for the back of our truck and mine were pretty quiet too. The only time they got particularly barky was when a lab came right into our camp area because his owner was letting him run loose. Of course then they went ballistic but as soon as the lab left they were quite again.

We camp alot at this campground during the summer www.4pawskingdom.com. They have lots for the puppers to do & they are so worn out in the evenings, you don't hear any barking at the campground. Maybe we could plan to meet there one weekend.

I get their newsletter but we have never been there, It is quite far for a weekend for us. It sounds like a fun place and maybe someday we will go there.
...We do not advertise or market ourselves as a “Family Campground”, we always were and still are the first and only dog dedicated campground in the US and that’s what our guests love about us...
No guests under the age of 18 are allowed to stay on and/or visit our tent sites.
Four Paws Kingdom caters exclusively to adults and their canine companions.
As a courtesy we welcome young adults, 14 years or older (when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian)
as well as infants and toddlers up to 2 years of age.
They cater to adults and their canine companions. Interesting, I have never seen anyone openly say children not welcome. Guess we will have to leave the grandkids at home.
