Gert is really finding out who she is in my pack. She was sitting on my lap (as usual) and one of my cats "Janet" came up to see me. Now, Janet can't usually come by me when Dolly is in my lap. Dolly just can't tolerate sharing me with her. Other cats are just fine, but Janet gets snapped at. I love Janet and wish she'd be allowed to cuddle with me and the pups.
Gertrude has had no interaction with Janet when she came up to sit by us the other day. As the cat surveyed the scene and made her move, Gert popped out of the blanket and snapped at her! JUST LIKE DOLLY. Did Dolly give her the inside story on Janet? All the other cats that come for a visit are welcomed by Gert, getting the nose touch kiss that I'm still kicking myself for not having the camera ready. She's picking on the same ones Dolly is and loving the same ones too. I wonder what's going on. I have my "secret" favorite cats and Janet is one of them, but I don't treat anyone differently. Whoever wants to sit by me is allowed to. Except for Janet, when my lap is occupied by Dolly or Gert.:(
