I think it's what the long hair on the ears can add to their expressions that makes LHs my favorites .

Angus is a very handsome boy! How old is he now?
His coloring is very similar to my new baby's, so I hope Wolfie will look like Angus as he grows older.

He just turned 5 months on the 10th. :birthday:

I saw Wolfie's pic weekend and said the same thing to my husband! Funny how you don't see too many long haired dachsies, I've heard that alot. I've always wanted a long haired red, and still find it hard to believe I've got one!! :luvlove: I look at pic of Angus when he was very little and he had such a dark mask, now you can hardly tell he had one, and his back was almost all black, but the older he gets the redder he becomes. Now he's getting long fur between his toes, it's so cute. I just love my dog to bits!!

and I get that comment alot of my Mitzi. Some have never seen a b/t dachshund before let a lone a long haired one. I love the fur that sticks up on the ears on Mitzi. Sometime it's like she has horns - what you say not on a sweet little angel like Mitzi. But don't let the looks fool ya she can be a little :devil: dog when the mood hits and boy it hits quite alot. hahahaha

That look distinctly reminds me of my CAT Angus. The ear hair is very similar, but not the color. Tell your Angus that mine says Hi (but he really doesn't think he's a cat)

Angus is beautiful! When my husband and I were first talking about getting a dachsie 6+ years ago, he wanted to name it Angus if we got a boy. I was partial to females, so we got Annie instead. I'm sure if we ever add a boy, though, his name will be Angus.
