Willow got to spend the day with me at my Mom's house. (Something that has not happened much since Dad got sick.) She had a blast! We went for a nice long walk in the "wilderness". That is in the old garden out by the horse pasture. The grass grows long these days and there are gophers and bunnies and micies and only a doxie nose knows what else! We also explored the wooded area behind the barn.

It is just a page of pics, so it takes awhile to download on a dial-up. (Like mine.)

Thanks for sharing Willow's perfect day! :)-willsana

Hi Annie,

So does Willow start singing the "give me the countyr life) part of teh Green Acres these sond aver a visit to your folks home? It looks like a grest place for a dachie to find all kinds of new ways to get into some trouble.

But....I have to be careful about which horse she tries to visit. IZ, Dee, Reno and Breeze are pretty good with her. I still have to watch she doesn't walk too close to horse feet! She doesn't think anyone would hurt her. Molly actually chases (and would kill if she gets a chance) any small animal, cats and small dogs. My sister has a stud staying there now. I don't think he would try to hurt her. But he is fiesty and might hurt her without knowing it. He plays with the German Shepard. I doubt he would relize size does matter!

Well, Tom, I don't know for sure. Once in awhile I think I hear a little humming! It just might have been the Green Acres Theme! But sometimes I get a few notes that can't be anything else but "Born to Be Wild" by Steppenwolf!

I really enjoyed Willow's page of pics. It does a heart good to see a little dachsie so happy and carefree.

That would be Gidget's dream come true, to be let off of the leash to roam and explore. But, I'm too afraid to let her. She is such a free spirit, she would probably take off and never look back!

:thinker: Ya know, you could start your own childrens books :book: with the adventures of Willow, or Willows adventures. Book one, Willow out west. Hey if I was a kid I'd read 'um!!;)

Sure looks like she's enjoying herself!!! :bounce2:

I checked out the website with Willow's adventure and I really enjoyed looking at them! She had to have had so much fun just doing the hound dog thing.

I always told my husband I was going to write a children's book about Miller called "Tales of the Speckled Teckel". It could have chapters like Miller Chases the Rat and Miller Falls in the Pond and Miller gets a Brother (Cash). I think it would be great fun! Dachshunds provide so much material!

lotsadox, and anyone who likes to write/tell/create stories,

We have our very own Neverending Story here on the DBB! It is a fun place where our little friends are the heros (or villians if you want!) of a great adventure!

Right now the Neverending could use a bit of a jump start. Check it out in the "Fun Stuff" area of the main page.
