Cuz we've never used puppy pads.

But we did want to welcome you and your pupper to DBB and let you know that we're glad you're here. :waving:

I haven't used them, but the way I think you should (note I said I think... doesn't mean this is how you should!) is keep one by the door you want him to go out. You can also have one say... in the room you spend the most time in.

This way... when you see him heading there... you can take him right out and if you don't catch it in time... he still goes on the pad (hopefully). If you don't start with one by the door... make sure you move them there... that way you start getting ingo his mind that door means outside!

Oh yeah... forgot to say.. Welcome to the DBB!

Welcome to DBB. :waving:

I have a 1yr old black and tan mini named Juney, and two red 13 1/2 year old standards named Cooler and Bunny.

:waving: Welcome!

I have two dachsies, Gidget (1 yr) and Buddy Lee (6 mos). We did not use the puppy pads with Gidget, but we tried them with Buddy Lee. He learned to use them quickly, but soon after that they became an object to play tug-of-war with! Oh, well. Doesn't hurt to try!
