Doxie up at PetSmart

Shelby County Humane Society adopts dogs out up at the PetSmart near us. We went up there to drop Chloe off for her spay and shots at Banfield that's in the back of PetSmart. They had a Male Doxie up there that was looking for donations. It looks like they busted a puppy mill in Mt. Vernon Kentucky and he was one of the rescues. The poor thing had a lot of hair loss from flea's biting all over him. The donations were for his dental work that he needed. He needed his teeth cleaned and a few teeth pulled as well. I felt so sorry for him. I wish my husband would let me bring him home. He was so sweet and laid back. He had the puppy dog face down pat too! They also had an adorable black boxer mix up there! lol, but it said she liked to chase cats so that would not have been good.

poor guy...hope he gets a good home and the medical attention he needs.

It breaks my heart every time I hear these stories wishing I could help more and do more than I do now. I feel like crap when I have to say no or can not help a dog in need as much as I would like to. I guess it sucks sometimes when you care so much for animals.
