I would like to have my own dbb t-shirt which made me thinks other might as well. The profits would help out with our beloved boards upkeep. Am looking into how to get it added to the store. I was also thinking calanders featuring our own puppers sometime in November for the new year. Let me know if you think this is a good idea.

I think the calandar is a great idea! Make it kind of like a contest. We can submit our pics, and then all vote for our favorite ones.

Then, when they come out, put some up on E-Bay, or advertise them in our local pet shops. They would attract lots of buyers as well as future board members.

Hey if you do a calander.
I missed not having one that has everyday a doxie. That would give more chances for everyone to get their doxie in the calander. Just a suggestion.
OK the truth be known. I had one in the bathroom, and it was such a nice way to relax for a few minuets or longer. Hey some people like to read. I would rather l@@k at adorable doxies! What better place to check it out a few times a day. Besides that would be 352 chances of your Fav Dox on the calander.

The 365 day calendar does sound way cool. I always have a doxie 365 day calendar on my desk and one from DBB would be great!

ONe problem with the 365 day calendar would be the cost of putting it together. Would probably run more than many are willing to pay to make it worth it.

You are talking about one page a day with a dachsie pic right?

Actually my favorite calander had a Months worth of pics on each page. Plus they had different pics on and around the sides. It was an average size monthley calander. In each date box there was a seperate photo. It wasn't even that hard to see them. Sorry I am not to great at explaining it. Plus they had on the back of each page the bigger photo's.
So now do I have you all completely conffused?

Oh ya! :sarcastic Dah! It wasn't the kind for you to wright a lot of notes or appointments on it. I wish I could explain it better. But hey not one of my gifts in life. It makes it a challenge at times, for others.

I was rollin'! Course....you gotta be a dachsie person to really appreciate it....I could see some people just throwing a hissy over it! LOL

Anyway....I think the T-shirt idea is great! And....I even have a connection to get them if needed....as my cousin runs her own T-shirt business called MasterT's

I really would love a Tee shirt! Anyone out there that can draw(I can't), you should submit something to put on the t-shirt and poeple can vote on it! Or we could just go ahead and put the cutest dcxies on it, Alfred and Chewy. Ha Ha! Just Kidding!!!:D :D

We could use the Dachsie's Bulletin Board logo from the top of the page on one side and something very dachshund on the other. I'd love to add one to the ever growing collection of dachshund tees.

I just had another thought. Terry Pond has let rescue groups use her work for fund raisers. Just a thought. Her work is really cute. I should know I own 4 prints and a memorial wooden plaque from her!

We would love to do things like DBB T-Shirts, calendars, mugs or whatever . . . but . . .

This is very new to us. We'd like, very much, to avoid any upfront costs or minimum sales contracts . . . someone who could make things up as they are ordered. Anyone know of someone?

We've thought of contests for calendar, t-shirt, etc. pictures. That sounds like fun! :)

We might be able to take prepaid orders and then have them made up when we get enough for a minimum run. That way there wouldn't be any out of pocket expense. I'll bet with this group we could get a minimum run in no time!

I am not in a position to take on any more projects. I priced shirts and getting the logo on them and it was roughly $750.00. But that was last year.

I'd be in for both. Great idea! I know wall calendars can be produced fairly quickly these days by photo houses but a page a day calendar, as fun as it would be, probably needs more lead time. And yes, pupper sized DBB shirts/sweatshirts would be terrific!!

I absolutely think it's an AMAZING idea! We have so many cute specialy stores around me that I am sure we could attract a couple calendar buyers and a new DBB member or two!

I know this is an old thread revived; I voted for T-shirt. I think it would be a great way to gain new members (especially if you wear it to a Meetup). A T-shirt does not have the same "expiry date" as a calendar.

Another idea would be note cards. www.goldenrescuequebec.com

Check out the birthday cards, sympathy cards, etc. We did this as a fundraiser using our photos of our own dogs. The birthday card boy was my very first foster (10 yrs old)!!! He is one happy, well loved boy today in his adoptive home, as his picture clearly shows. These are not expensive to produce and we charge up front if people want their own dogs on them.

Born to shop - you bet. Count me in for both. I like Carpet Gator's idea of putting some on e-bay, pet stores or even vets' offices. Could be a good way to support the board and also attract future members.

This is a very OLD thread. This idea was brought up a number of times and it was decided for various reason that it was not something that was going to be done.
