Doxie neighbor picnic fun

I was just thinking....:cool:
It would be nice if some of us that live a little bit closer together could get together for a neighbor doxie picnic.:bounce:
I know I have neighbors in Texas and in Alabama. Those 2 States are not too far from each other.
If you are interested in this idea let me know and we can get together and come up with a mutual place and date and time.. I think it would be so wonderful to meet everyone in person and introduce our doxies.
I know I would love to make the trip to Ohio but there is no way as of now.
So maybe some of us that are closer can do a picnic. Maybe even some of our neighbors farther away would be able to come.

We have a family reunion the first Sunday in June in Tenn... We are leaving Friday evening the 30th and we will be back that Sunday..
SO lets think of when we could get together..
I work Monday - Friday and have most all weekends off.

Now we have to decide where we can meet up.. I dont know of any dog parks around here.:(
I know there is a beautiful State park in Morton off of I-20. It has a lake and picnic areas water slides etc.
Now that might be a place for us to meet.
Do you know where Morton is?
Its outside of Meridian, well probably 45 miles out of Meridian.
Or you all could come here to our house.
Let me know what you think.... We have a very large back yard that is fenced in.

This is going to be fun! Chewy will have a blast. Alfred is old so he will sit with the hoomans in the shade.:D I can meet anywhere. That state park sounded nice. But anywhere would be fine. Sometime mereting on neutral ground is good when dogs are concerned.

The State park is really nice.. and its right off of 1-20 so that will be nice... you can map it on expedia.

Hey, I just thought of something. Chewy and Natasha will get to meet.
They are both from CTDR! Who was Natasha's foster? Chris? Anyway, Chewy will also get to meet Zeke in July at to Ohio Dachshund picnic.

is off every other Friday Saturday.. The 21st is his weekend to work..
How about Saturday the 28th? Would that work out for ya all?

We have a 3 bedroom house and its only hubby and I. But our aunts and uncles come down also from Tenn and Al and Florida so we wanted to make sure we had enough bedrooms for them.

We will actually be in St. Louis the 26th thru 29th visiting Mark's baby brother. Baby brother graduates in August and Mark's parents will be selling the condo they bought for Nicholas while he was in school there. Soooo Mark and I and Missy and Zeke are going to spend a few days seeing St Louis while the condo is still available. Of coarse if there are any dbb folks near there let me know and we'll find a place to meetup (which I would love).

:( I can't be there either. On top of everything else, I have this little foster girl who is terrified of men. My husband can't get near her, so I can't leave at all. Since we don't know yet about her shots, I don't want to take her anywhere either. I know you'll have fun, just take lots of pictures so the rest of us can see.
