Picture in the paper

There was an article in the Houston Chronicle today with pictures and everything about Meetups. The Dachshund Meetup was featured with a big picture of yours truly, my hubbie, our friends Jennifer and Heather and, of course, the dachshunds on the front page of the Lifestyle section. It was a great article and there was even a picture inside of my Bogart and Jennifer's Max making friends. It was really cute. I hope that it sparks more people to come to the Dachshund Meetup next month.

I think it's great, that you have enough people to attend. There's never enough in my area to get together. There's a lot of doxie owners that show, so I suppose they preffer to spend their time getting to or going to shows and practices.
When ever I say anything about it people sound excited but then it is hard to make a commitment. I for one work weekends, so it makes it hard.
But where are all those Wisconsin doxie lovers?????:sarcastic :confused: :confused:

I wish our paper would do something on the meetups to get it pushed along a bit. So far our are cancelled everytime.

If you can get them to do an article it would really help. There were about 20 people registered on the Meetup website before this article. I checked the site the other day and there were 65! The only city with more was NYC. Hopefully, the next Meetup will have a lot of these people attending!
