My male dachsie, Fenway, is one year old. We just got Gretchen, a female dachsie who is 6 weeks old. Over the past week, Fenway, who is housebroken, has urinated twice on the leather sofa. I would imagine this is some sort of acting out behavior that should eventually stop right? We spend lots of time with both pups so as to keep jealuosy to a minimum. Any other words of wisdom out there for us as we go through this period? We could use the advice. Thanks

When my mother was in the hospital and dying I was under extreme stress which was, of course, transmitted to the dogs. Cash began urinating all over the house. After my mother's death, I began to de-stress and started working with him doing housebreaking all over again. He did very well and I don't have problems with him now, except for occasionally when it rains.
