This question seems to come up quite often and I was wondering if any of your doxies are afaid of loud noises.
Maggie is afraid of the thunder storms and loud noises in general.

I find it hard to believe that my doxies aren't even phased by loud noises. Only when something falls near them (the cats like to knock stuff off of the counter and table to freak out the pups) will they react.
Buddy, my big dog is the one scared of big noises: shots, motorcycles, semis, a car idling next door (he won't pee in the back yard if the neighbor has started his car) Thunder hasn't frightened him though.

LOVES loud noises! Power tools are wonderful in her opinion. (She should have been Tim Taylor's pup!)
When she was tiny, about 4 months old, the neighbor needed help removing a stump. Half the neighborhood gathered to watch my fella and another get their chainsaws ready. As they went to start them up the ladies all told me "You had better take your little one inside, she will be frightened." I just smiled. The two chainsaws started up in unison and I had to hold Willow tight! She was trying to run TOWARD the noise makers! She was in heaven!
The thing that bothers her about thunder is she can not find the source to join in on the fun. If she sees an emergency vehicle with its siren blaring, she tries to follow. She and HooDaddy have "shouting contests" until I shut them both up.
Silence is NOT my Willow! :D
Our big, strong, Alpha-Male Brutus is deathly afraid of thunder. :D

Kibby definitely reacts to loud noises. She is the floor dragon, lawn dragon killer and she tries to attack thunder! Fear, not really -- more like "I can take you, you noisy thing!" Ziggy helps with floor and lawn dragons

Mine don't even seem to notice - walk by the front door and drop a pin however, and you will set them barking for days!
They don't care about noises inside the house, but anything outside gets their protective instincts on overdrive (of course, as soon as one dog starts barking, they BOTH start barking)

Buddy Lee, being the wuss that he was born to be, is afraid of everything.
Gidget on the other hand, knows no fear. She barks at every loud and noisy thing that she sees. And, sometimes, she'll do more than bark. I have to put her outside to run my vaccuum cleaner. She attacks it head on with no mercy. It's an upright model. She will bite and grab the rubber bumper on the base and literally lift the machine up off af the ground while it is running. Considering the vaccuum weighs 14 lbs, that's a pretty big feat for 13 lb dog!
