Penny's Aunt

I had to look up this number for myself, so I thought I would post it for everyone who didn't already have it.
The National Animal Poison Control Board is operated by the University of Illinois, & is (I believe) available 24 hours a day.
The toll-free number is (800) 548-2423
Just remember, if you don't write it down now, & need poison advice for your dog, call your local Poison Control, which is usually in the front of your phone book. Be sure to tell them it is a dog (or cat, or ferret, etc) because THEY ARE OKAY WITH IT BEING AN ANIMAL, & THE SMALLNESS OF THE BODY IS IMPORTANT.
I have had occasion to call my local number 3 times in 3 different cities, & all the people were friendly & helpful & told me what to watch for & what to do. The fact that I was calling about animals was NOT a problem to them.
