Please keep those folks in West Virginia in your thoughts and prayers as the death toll from the mine explosion stands at 25 with 4 missing. This is the way that folks in this area where I live make a living. I have alot of friends and family who do this dangerous and hard job just to raise their families. My family (like many others in these areas) has been touched by mining tragedy,as my Grandmother's first husband was killed in a mining tragedy, leaving her very young with 3 kids to raise (thank God she met a kind and gentle soul,my grandfather who raised them along with a bunch of kids that they had over the years). These folks, much like me in my profession go into work every day/night knowing full well that this may be the day that they die. That is something to be respected, and I could respect nobody anymore than the coal miner (a man/woman cannot do more for their loved ones that sacrifice/risk their lives to put food on the table). May God hold these folks in his loving arms, and may he deliver strength, and the peace and comfort that is only his to give to those who have just had their lives shattered.:candle:

I will definitely keep them and their families in my prayers. My grandfather and great grand father's were coal miners.

I guess I need to "read" the news online once in a while. We don't pay for cable tv just the internet since we tend to enjoy the internet more.
That's just terrible. I hope they can find the missing 4. Many prayers going their way for healing in such a horrible time. :(

It's just heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers will be with these miners and their families. So much loss for that town...it's almost hard to fathom. What a hard and dangerous job these men do.
So very, very sad. My sister-in-law is a police officer, my ex-sister-in-law is a sheriff's deputy (former corrections officer too) and my brother-in-law is a sheriff's deputy in a town near the Arizona/Mexico border. I worry about them all. All of those who protect us everyday and/or do these dangerous jobs...they're in a league all their own and I have the highest respect and admiration for them. I pray that someday the WV miner families will have peace in their hearts. Their pain right now must be unbearable.

What a heartbreaking situation. Watching some of the family members on TV talk about their loved ones brought tears to my eyes. May God watch over all of them.
