I know I do.
At Christmas time I buy them all kinds of things and wrap them up and let them unwrap them..:bounce:
But I buy them stuff all year long too.

They get special gifts on Holidays. Usually something really good to eat, because they get good chew toys all year long. Helps the wear and tear on other things if they have lots of chew toys around!

Last Christmas Jazzie dressed up as Santa Claus and delivered gifts to all her fur friends and family. All the gifts were wrapped with x-mas paper that had little x-mas dogs all over it.

Jazzie has a x-mas stocking that is hung over the fireplace with her name on it. She gets extra gifts at x-mas, but she gets gifts all year long.

Of course they get gifts. But the other thing is I get gifts back. Of course sometimes I get cards from them too. They have been shopping for thier co-owners 50th birthday gift too.
Usually something that is for her to share with them. LOL :D

Frankie does get special treats on the holidays. There's a store called Lick Your Chops. I buy her a barker's dozen! It's so cute.

Our pups get gifts for Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Birthdays. Which are usually a new toy or 2 and treats. They each have stockings with their names on them (Zeke will get his this christmas) over the fireplace at our house as well as grandmas. They each have an easter basket with their names on them at grandmas too. They (ok I go to hallmark for them) purchase birthday cards for others too and are included on all cards to others from Mom and Dad.

I love to buy my dogs treats, toys, etc......everything!!! I buy goodies throughout the year. I like spending money on them more than on myself hee hee :circle:

At christmas though, they get extra spoiled. I wrap up all their presents and let them unwrap them. They always have some things from the Three Dog Bakery (that I have so much fun picking out for them!!) :D They love christmas :)

Magic and Misty always get special treats on the holiday including thier own stockings on the fireplace. Family members will bring little presents for them and they get everything from treats to sweaters. They receive more from Santa than anyone else in the family.

Petco is fun..that's a year around treat. When we leave there there is always something else going home beside the family visit to the store. My two always find something special they want. It comes home!

Our little ones aren't even home yet, and I found Christmas stockings for them, my dad has built them a really awesome (barn with a covered porch) doghouse that's to all of us for Christmas, and I have toys and chews in holiday colors already. Will I have to keep them far away from the tree this holiday season? They'll just be 6 months old.

so what makes the holiday any different? He always tries to snoop in any bag we bring inside, thinking they are for him, and 99% he is right! They are for him!

Rocky is like my kid, so of course he gets Christmas presents! I wrap them up and put them under the tree, but usually they don't stay wrapped until Christmas.:D Rocky will smell his presents and rip open the wrapping paper too early!:nono: He also knows anytime I come home with a bag, there is probably something in there for him!!:bounce:

We buy gifts for Maximus, and he buys gifts for all his (4 of them) doggie cousins too. So, in other words, all the dogs in the family exchange gifts too. It's super fun.:bounce:

Tucker gets special things anytime I get to a store that sells doggie goodies on any day that ends in a "Y":D and always on holidays. This will be his first Halloween, Christmas, etc. He already has a stocking waiting for Santa to fill. I'll be asking that Santa wrap Tucker toys in white tissue paper - all past dschsies have learned that anything in white tissue is "fair game".

I usually buy each dog something for Christmas. They all love to open gifts! This year they won't be getting much as the house is over flowing in toys and there isn't really anything else they need but I'll be getting my Dachsie girls a nice new collar each. Christmas is pretty much the only time they get a bunch of new things. They do get a few things over the entire year, but not a whole lot as far as new toys go.

My babies have more toys that would make petsmart look all used up. I just found some IPODS.....they must have their own IPODS.:banana02:

There is always something under the tree for the dogs . When ever I go to petco to get food for either one of them there sure to be a little something extra for them in the bag .I even buy presents for my birds and fish.I feel they deserve something special .Just as much as the dogs do . My family thinks I'm crazy for spending all this money on my pets .My way of looking at it is they are family and I enjoy spending money on them .

Chance has a full stocking, one bigger toys (its a hide-a-squirl), Sakari has a HUGE bone, like, two feet long seriously, and one large toy (which will be desrtoyed withing seconds). Chance also has like...I dunno, 5-7 Secret Santa gifts on the mantel (thanks again secret santa paws).

I do have to give my fiance credit. We're not going to be having kids (unless we adopt much later on - i cant have my own) so he always says, in reference to my excessive shopping for Chance, "well, at least were not paying for braces - or college"

Mocha gets stuff year round, but I might go out a little more on her birthday or a holiday. She likes poking her nose in any bag I bring in the house anyways.

Usually if theres something in the bag for the kids theres a little something in there for the pups too. I drove all over town looking for bobo's. Petsmart online said they were backordered, my local petsmart closed a few months ago. Finally I found them at the pet store closest to my home. Waaayyyy overpriced and bigger than I wanted but oh well, the babies will go crazy. Destuffing frenzy on Christmas morning, plus they have stockings and some toys I picked up at target and of course the cats have their presents too.
I guess now it's time for a real toybox. I've been using a cardboard box but Tucker made short work of that.

Last year I didn't do much for my furkids. We had a lot of expensive stuff going on around the house and just didn't have much extra $ to do that. This year, particularly since I've found this addicting board, I've gone absolutely crazy! I got lots of toys for Jack and Lexie, made homemade doggie treats for one of my secret santa folks (and at Christmas, I usually make homemade treats for my co-workers who have pets, too) and I just went nuts this year buying for my furkids. And it's SO MUCH FUN! I do buy them toys, etc., year-around, but this Christmas they will have more than last year. They give me so much joy and unconditional love, so why not?! They obviously have a BLAST destuffing those things and I enjoy watching them do it. Where else can I get such unconditional love?! Since I can get them a few more things this year, I'm doing it!!!

I'd do the same thing if I could pull it off financially. Nothing at all wrong with spoiling the sweet little furbabies if you can afford it.

I buy gifts for the doxies all year long. We always have something special at ALL the Holidays.... it is so much fun seeing how excited they get over a simple little bag. They look forward to something new and different. :D

Someone needs to invent something GREAT for a new dog toy - like the Kong. My kids still love their Kong, but it would be nice to get them something other than a Kong but that would last as well as a Kong and would be "different" and not cost a fortune. Anyone got any ideas? Stuffed toys are gone just too fast. And for some reason, they don't seem to be crazy about the Cuz toy, either, or whatever that's called. Since it was so different, I was really hoping they'd love it - but nope, no interest, darn.

I do buy Ringo gifts for holidays - he gets a birthday present and a Christmas present. He gets treats at Halloween and Valentine's Day. And he gets lots of presents in between too. I can't help it, I just love to buy him things! He gets so excited, it makes me happy to watch him. :sillylove:

Christmas, birthdays (theirs and ours - they get gifts), most other holidays also.
Through out the year they get presents also, I have 2 big plastic storage boxes with toys that we rotate so they do not get bored, but they have way too many toys.:wonky: But we storck up on those pool balls that are called splash balls thru the summer so we have them year round. They like them best (and even when thrown, can not hurt anything)
When we get them something, we tell them before we go that we will bring them something and we always have the store put their things in a seperate bag, because they will try to help take things out of the bags otherwise. When we do not tell them that we will get thme something, they do not try to find their bag.

OoO Yes! I just got Chloe, but when Christmas time comes we buy all of the animals something. Usually the dogs we have get little iced cookies from up at the pet store. They loves those! What dog doesn't? haha! Or we get them a bag of treats.
