If you read the post in dachsie tales,"Is Otis asking for trouble?" here is the sequel. Chinook bit Otis on Saturday. He had been tolerating so much and they had been getting along just fine. I don't know what happened and it happened fast! They were close together and we were at the table and the next thing I know Chinook is on him. I grabbed Chinook's fur to lift him off Otis and Otis went running and squealing. Scared me half to death. I checked Otis over and he seemed okay. His throat, however, was soaking wet! Then my son and I went in the van and brought Otis and the next thing I know there is blood on the van door! Well, what I thought was a little "dot" up high on Otis's nose was actually a deeper wound. He was bleeding from that and through the nose. Later, there was some swelling. I just spoiled him and felt just sick all day. My poor baby Oti! That night he did that backward sneezing (he's never done it before) and all he did is sleep. I still get knots in my stomach to think about it. But, guess who's right back to it? You guessed it!! I'm wondering if there wasn't a little piece of food by them or if Chinook thought there was cuz he's right back to not being too bothered by Otis! I don't get it, and even though I've been cautious, I don't know how to prevent it because like I said, it happened SO fast!! Otis seems better today, I was just sick all week end.
