Maggie went to the vet today. While we were there the vet found that she has 2 baby teeth that did not fall out and now the second teeth are firmly in place and are preventing them from coming out on their own. /ubb/smilies/frown.gif
Big risk of abcess and other root problems according to the doc, so she has to have them removed on Friday, June 9th. She'll have a flouride treatment done at the same time.
I thought I was going to be able to avoid that scary "leaving my baby at the vet's for surgery routine" because Belinda had her spayed before I got her. Oh well, at least I know that she can handle the anesthesia./ubb/smilies/oogle.gif

I wonder why they weren't removed when she was being spayed? Pretty sloppy.

Actually she was VERY young when Belinda had her spayed (to "improve her disposition"). I suppose she was still SUPPOSED to have all of her baby teeth then!

What a day! Miss Maggie had her teeth out. She did VERY well. No growling all day according to the staff! (Whew!) She's still staggering around but her appetite is good and in between naps on my lap she tries to play with Penny or with one of her toys!
We went to puppy class because it was the last night, but Maggie and I just sat in the lawn chair and watched. She gets along with other dogs REALLY WELL when she's drugged..... /ubb/smilies/silly.gif
