I recently got a flyer from Petsmart on a dog food brand I have never heard of called Blue. It says it has human grade ingredients, real chicken is the first ingredient and is has whole grains, fresh fruit and vegetables. I don't know if this is a new brand or what. I can try it for free with a mail-in rebate. I thought I'd get some feedback first. It sounds promising.:circle:

for Petsmart. They don't have their ingredient list on the site and I could not find it anywhere else on the web, so I can't say whether I think this is a good food or not. If you have the ingredient list, you can post it for us and I'm sure their will be many responses. I just can't say it's good or bad by their description even though it says real chicken etc. I'd need to see some more info to make an opinion one way or another.

I went to the Petsmart website and clicked on the answers tab. You can compare 4 different foods and it will give you the top 10 ingreidents of each and the guaranteed analysis. The top ten for the blue brand adult dog food are: Chicken, chicken meal, whole ground brown rice, whole ground barley, rye, oatmeal, chicken fat, whole carrots, whole sweet potatoes, and ground flax seed. The guaranteed analysis is Protein 24%,Fat14%,Fiber4%, and moisture 10%. Does this help?:)

thanks :)
These ingredients sound pretty good. I'm sure it's pretty reasonably priced too since it's at petsmart.
This dog food is made by Blue Buffalo. The ingredients do look good; however, I emailed the company to get some additional information and found out that the sodium content (dry matter analysis) is .65. That's 2-3 times as much as in most premium kibbles like Innova, Canidae, Wellness, etc. I was surprised. I hadn't seen sodium count that high in any of the couple dozen kibbles I have researched.

that is quite high indeed. Well...it's still better than a lot of other kibbles out there.... Can't win em all :)
