Well, as I posted in the Misc. forum, we're fine. Not yet back to normal, but getting there. I've never seen the city shut down like it was. For a period of about 24 hours, there was virtually no power, water, phones, gasoline, etc. It will be weeks before everyone's power is restored- they're having to rebuild, not just repair.
But my boys did great! I think we're well on our way to trained. The storm itself did not seem to bother either one of them at all, they acted completely normal. During the early part of the storm, I took them out at 11, 1, and 3 and they both did fine. About 5 they wanted out again, but the wind was just too bad. They wouldn't go, and I wouldn't let them anyway. I tried to take them into the garage and let them go on a few towels, but no go. They just kept walking around. We came back in, and I thought for sure they'd have accidents on the carpet soon. But they didn't. Instead, they whined and whined. I felt so bad for them, but it was kinda ironic- they're still having accidents after all. Anyway, about 7:00, I was able to get them outside for just a few minutes on the west side of the house (the winds were heavy from the east). They both peed, but couldn't walk around much to do the other. They did eventually do this on the carpet, but that is the only accident either of them had during the storm! They were real troopers. Since then they've had a few accidents, but they've mostly been great, especially since we're not back to our routine just yet. I really do think they'll get this soon (but not soon enough for me).
Anyway, I can't even begin to express how proud I was of them and how well they did. I just hope we never have to go through anything like that again!
