I was wondering how many times should I feed Graci now? shes getting older, ( 4 months ) and it seems like she doesnt eat as much. I give her a half cup 3 times a day, but most of the time she doesnt eat it all...... should I start feeding her twice a day now? or should I lower her food intake to 1/3 of a cup? as for her not eating as much, I dont think its a health problem. she doesnt seem to be sick, going to the bathroom regularly and still being her stinker self... :D
??????????   ??????????

Gracie's Mom,
I would take it down to two cups a day about half full. That is what we have had Modem and Molly on for a long time and they seem to have done well on it. Also when you change her food intake watch her closely for a few days and if she seems hungary at any time outside of meal time give her a treat or two to hold her over until the next meal. Good luck with Gracie girl.

Since Graci is leaving some food, I would suggest switching to 1/2 cup twice a day. Puppies are suppose to be a little plump so watch her figure to see if she starts to lose weight or if she puts on weight cut back to 1/3 cup. Sounds like she is doing fine.
Puppies need their vitamins, suggest Pet Tabs supplement.

Charlie is 5 months old and we took away his lunchtime meal and replaced it with a Large Mother Hubbard Biscuit and one or two smaller biscuits. I would also cut down a bit on Graci's food. What kind of food is she on? If it's a really good quality food you'll use less.

Patt and would do the 1/2 cup 2 times per day. Ofcourse with some good treats in between.

Right now Mirri is getting three meals a day, 1/3 cup a meal. She also gets Pet Tab suppliments in the morning. I give her 10 mins to eat the meal which she finishes no problem. If she gets fussy within that time period it's taken up. Her weight is fine and she seems satisfied after the meal. She is now 4.5 months old and finally eating with a good pace. My other two at 9 years are fed twice a day, one a 1/4 cup, the other 1/3 a meal. I do not continous feed since all three are rapid eaters. All their weights are fine so I stick with the same method for all three. I do give a late evening treat after evening play, that signals we are all getting close to bed time and it's time to calm down. It seems to work!
