My daughter just went to go into the main floor bathroom and sure enough there were two 'lil packages there. She missed stepping on the 'log' but sadly stepped into the 'lil puddle.

All I can say, is that at least it's in one room!! He's doing much better but it looks like it'll be a few more months.

He is just a baby! You can't make him grow up so fast! Be patient and he will improve sooner than you expect!

it feels like forever until they get housetrained. But it comes and then you forget what it was like before then:eek:
I will be training Benjamin when he finally gets home. I hope that will go well too.

He DID use the BATHROOM, at least... :flush: :sarcastic
Cassie, who was our original housebreaking prodigy, piddled on the living room carpet x2 last week.:crying:
Cassie's problem is, she has to do everything ON HER OWN and won't go when she first gets out of the cage, when her sister goes.
**sigh** no accidents since, though. They will all get it eventually. I guess we just have to convince them that rules are RULES, not suggestions.:) Right, Charlie? Right, Cassie?

LOL they have to learn the rules. It seems forever but they will finally **get** it. My new pup Mirri was doing do well but lately she has a laspe in memory. This morning I found a little gift in the middle of the rug so it''s back to reminding, reminding. She's also getting fussy about doing her business on walks. She rather play with the leaves and leave me standing out there for half an hour. Im still working on it.:D Are Charlie and Cassie getting Mirri's stubborn rebellion? These kids are a challange!

We have four doxies and EVERY one of them has used our bathroom at one point! It is interesting because this usually happens just before they finally are really potty trained. It seems to be some sort of right of passage. I don't understand it at all. But it really does happen! And so far.......... after that stage they get the idea about what is NOT acceptable!
I really think that they think that if we use the place why can't they? It IS much nicer thatn having to actually go OUTSIDE like a DOG!
Of course I take the offender in the room, show them the problem and tell them that is a VERY BAD thing to do. And they all do quit after just a few accidents, the number of accidents is directly related to the stubborness of the pupper!!!!!!!!!!!
We have learned that as a baby is nearing the "bathroom stage" to NOT use the room without checking VERY carefully!

Ironically, if Otto has to have an accident (always OUR fault for not taking him out in time as you can tell he is very ashamed) - he will use the downstairs bathroom. It's not an area of the house we use very often (the basement is more mess than function at the moment) and it seems to be the least offensive to him!

Oh ~ could it be true? That he's getting closer to the 'lightbulb' moment!! Geez, I hope that's why he went in the bathroom...
You gotta love em.
