I usually add pumpkin or green beans to Heidi's kibble to help to fill her bottomless tummy, but had a can of green peas (which I would rinse to remove any salt) and wondered if it was safe to add them to her food. I would imagine that they're quite high in sugar content, so would have to limit how much she gets. Does anyone have any other canned vegie suggestions for supplements?

Thanks in advance

exception of ONIONS which can cause hemolytic anemia and too much garlic (a little is ok). The nightshade veggies such as potatoes, tomatoes can aggravate arthritis so I'd stay away from them. Lettuce, spinach, celery and most green veggies are very good to give. Peas are fine, just don't give too many veggies..can cause diarrhea..

Thanks Meemoo. Our bulldog LOVES raw potatoes and onions ( pardon his breath after) and he had arthritis problem in the past. I guess I will have to limit potatoes. Boy, will he be upset:uh-oh:
