I don't think I *fit* or qualify for this question. LOL

Sure you do Mark! ;) We just need a more 'PC' term, like dachsie parent! :D
I work fulltime, from home & office... gotta pay for the treats & pumpkin you know! :dog:
I WISH I could just take care of dachsies and make a living at it... Rena & I were just talking about that the other night... I work to fund what I really want to do! Probably not alone there!

I am a stay at home mom to my 3 kids ages 3, 4 1/2 and 6, the 2 cats, the 2 geckos, the fish and of course, Buddy, our newest piebald family addition. He's a great companion for me. We do laundry together, I wash dishes with him on my feet or having to straddle him sound asleep in front of the floor register. Hard to imagine we've had him almost 6 weeks now. He will be 15 weeks on Tuesday. I am in the midst of potty training both Buddy and my youngest. Truly a toss up as to who will have a full 'light bulb' moment first. Hard to say it, but the dog is winning out at this point! :)

I work part time from my house. So I"m almost a full time dachsie mom. I'm here with them most of the day, but I am working. Usually I work at home in the mornings and then do my banking and errands running in the afternoon. But if I just have to make deposits at the bank, I take one or two of them along. They love to go through the drive thru!

I work out of my home as a bookkeeper. When I go to the bank or have to deliver paper work I may take one of the trio with me or even all three depending on the drop that day.

Am I missing something? There's no choice for "I work full time NOT at home" on this poll!

I'm a student, though I took off a few months to play with LC. Well, okay, it was something to do with financial aid that made me take off this quarter. But at least I'm able to give LC my full attention...until January anyhow :( when I start classes again. Basically I'm a full time dachsie dad (though I didn't vote that) and too busy playing with LC to do anything else nor would i wanna. :D

I work Part-time. Otherwise I'm mom to my real kids, age 8 & 10 and then of course to Charlie. (We consider him the baby of the family)

I usually work full time as a high school teacher. However I started at a new school in September and they sacked me for failing to control the class. On one hand I was relieved because I've never met a meaner or wilder bunch of kids in all my teaching experience. It was a private school (rich kids) whose only object apparently was to make money and keep the parents happy by not letting them know what their kids were doing. They wouldn't even let me speak to the parents or send notes home (the headmistress tore up my notes!) They also wouldn't let me set homework or fail anyone. It was a bit of a shock because I've never been sacked before, but as I say a relief too.
So now I'm back to doing business classes part time, which doesn't pay well, but is very relaxing. However I really need to find something better, so although I'm home a lot at the moment López better not get used to it!

Maryanne, from the sound of it, you're better off out of that school! It is a shock the first time you're fired though! I had a job I hated and wanted to quit, but my husband kept talking me into staying. Then I got fired and was upset! I think it's just the idea of being fired. I was actually relieved about that one, too.

After years of being a "professional student"
bachelor's degree...
then took classes and worked in customer service 6 yrs - weird hours - while I decided what else to do...
then pharmacy school,

I now work full-time as a pharmacist with usually very normal hours (8-4:30 M-F). The husband, who used to find the weird hours annoying (because I would be sleeping late when he went to work) now works full-time mostly via internet & loves it that he can be the one to sleep late:mad: .

I'm in the Navy, 24/7. I'm usually off weekends but have duty so I'm away from the pups for over 24 hours once a week. Pet sitter takes care of them then. When I get off work, we (the pups and my foster dogs, 5 dogs total) go to the dog park for a short hour, they close at sunset. I work to support my dog habit.

away from home for a 120 bed facility nursing home. I just moved up from a 60 bed. WOW what was I thinking????
But its getting better. I was putting in 50 hours or more per week when I first started and running my other facility until I could find a Manager that I wanted to hire.
I keep telling hubby that I want to retire and become a full time doxie mom. Doesnt go too far:raz:
But I value my time with my little babies. I am with them when ever I am home.
If I am not here David is here or daughter is. So they dont go long without attention.

I started this poll because I work partly from home and part from our office. But it will be more from the office next year. So, I feel very bad leaving Sabrina home alone. But I guess, if others can do so can she. Thank you all for participating in this poll

I work part-time on a psych unit and I also do dog training and massage therapy for puppers. They have pet sitters who spoil them so I feel a bit less guilty leaving them as I must. I must because they have a certain lifestyle that they are accustomed to... and I would never want to let them down by not getting hoofies and squeaky toys :D

Although I do not "work", it seems as if there is always work to be done. My husband is a district sales manager for a telecommunications company, responsible for 10 sales reps. His area consiststs of basically all of E TX, including Waco and Beaumont. So, he's on the road alot, but even when he's home he generally works 60-80 hour weeks. The house is basically my domain. We have two boys, ages 6 and almost 9. I am responsible for seeing them to and from school, and everything in between... house work, errand running, laundry.... And, some days I help my hubby out at his office, filing, organizing, and what not. It seems here lately (especially with the holidays approaching) my days are growing shorter, and my to do list is growing longer. I'm just so greatful for my dogs. No matter how hectic my day gets, or what kind of foul mood I may fall into... they always cheer me up and make me feel better.

Well, I guess if anything I am a part-time dachsie mom. I travel about four to five months of the year with work, while my amazing hubby holds down a full time job and full time dachsie fatherhood.

So...like Mark...I don't think I qualify for this question. :D
