I had heard they existed but had not actually seen one until now.
This company makes car seats for dogs. It boosts the dog up high enough that they can see out the window and gives them a cuddly place to sit. You put you harness on them and attach it to a strap that secures the dog to the seatbelt. Neat idea. They have a small version for one dog up to 15 pounds or so and a larger version that is reccommended for 1-3 dogs up to 30 pounds total weight -though a girl on another board says she thinks she could easily put 2 of her 22pound beagles in one. http://www.snoozer-dog-beds.com/lookouts.htm
I also like their Look out perch it boosts, protects your car seat and you can still keep them safer with the harness seatbelt attachment. I already have seatbelt harnesses for both boys, but this would be nice to have so they could see out and my seat in my new jeep would stay looking new!
It might just be my next big pet supply purchase -of course handy people with time could likely make one of these pretty easily.

I know we have talked about car saftey before and this might just be a great option for those members that have crate-hating dogs, or for those like me that just prefer seat belt options to crates.
I'd love to know of any other sources for these kinds of products if you guys have seen them anywhere.
