I bought this toy for my cat but since my cat is well a cat she didn't want to play with it.

Mitzi FOUND IT and loves playing with it. The only draw back is the high pitch barking that goes along with the play. :D

Actually I've had this toy for awhile but since Mitzi had so many toys I decided to put up a few and Saturday while cleaning out the closet Mitzi found it and just had to play with it for as long as momma could stand. :caffeine:

Insites barking does it? Hmmm. I already have speed squeeeeaaakkkkiiing from the crazy squirrel tails that Missy likes to work over. I think I'll leave the barky cat toy alone.;)

Yes, with many of the cats I have met, "Cat TOY" is kind of a contradiction. My stepmother's cat liked Christmas ribbon, though.

I didn't know Mitzi had so much long fur - she is a BEAUTIFUL girl! :flower:

Maybe it's not barking...

it could be meowing - it IS a cat toy:greensq: .

That's cool! At least you're getting your money's worth!

I've been eyeballing on of those for Gidget, but I just haven't given in yet. I got her one that is kinda similar- a ball with holes in it with a smaller ball inside. But, she basically ingnores it. I think it makes too much noise for her liking.

Hehe ...I have one similar to that . My cat is so old that she doesn't play with it any more . I got it out to throw it away and Tugger saw it and went nuts over it ! I let him play with it for a while but like you said the barking was just too much . I kept it but put it away for special times . Couldn't stand to hear the barking all the time .

That's funny.

Probably on Christmas morning your cat & dogs will exchange presents with each other!

Sandy, my dachsie/golden retriever cross angel, used to love the original version of that toy. She would work on it for hours and yes, she would bark at it. She finally found a way to get the ball out and so that was the end of the game.

Thats so funny!! My Grandmother has THE SAME toy for her cat and when Graci comes over she goes CRAZY playing with that toy. she barks and barks trying to get the ball out.

I need to post pictures of Graci playing with that toy too.

Mitzi is very cute.

Piper snurls her nose up at "dog" toys, the squeaker kind. She'll play with them for a minute, but because she's not big as a popcorn fart, she looses interest in the big toys. She prefers cat toys, too. They are small enough for her to fit in her mouth and carry around to (what she thinks is) torment and tease the other dogs. She is gaga over this fake furred rabbits foot on an elastic band tied to a plastic stick. It's got ribbons on the end of the bunny's foot, it's actually just a piece of fake fur rolled up to look like a foot. It's also got a bell on it. She has as much fun with the elastic band and bell as she does with the stick! Go figure, they're cheaper anyway. Oh, and Piper LOVES keys.

Too cute... yep, our cats ignore theirs too. Rooby never cared for it, but I may get it out for Lexie & Chloe to check out.

to play with cat toys also. In fact they are almost all she'll play with since she is a small doggie. She can really sink her teeth (the ones she has left that is) into them!

Oh cool! I'm gonna have to get one for my little girl! :)
She LOVES chasing and knocking her plastic bottles around but always gets them stuck under the couch etc. so I have to get up and get them all the time. Maybe with this she wont knock it around so much and would just play with it in one place?
Thanks for the idea AND the ADORABLE pictures!!!! :D
Mitzi is just beautiful! :flower:

Watch the bell on the cat toys though. When Tess was little, she got a tooth stuck in one because she bit down on it. I cut the bells off ever since!

Isobel would love that toy, but I'm afraid that hoomom would not. Lawrence J has found his voice and it is shrill---add that to Isobel's yodel and I think I'd go crazy. :afraid:

this toy only comes out once in a great while. I couldn't handle it if it was left out very long or often. :)
