Me again. ha!
Since I am still so new (being a puppy mom), so I have more Q?.

Gigi loooooooooooves to cries, basically she cries when she is "ignored". Not that I really ignored her, but I have chores to do, like...hmm... cleaning after her accident??!! Or cooking etc... I sometimes ignore her cries and tell her no. And she cries in the crate at night when we sleeps... it's getting better (in fact, she does not cry at all last nite!!! :raz: ). The worst is when we are in the car, if I travel alone with her, I will put her in those travel bag and put it on the passenger side seat... not only does she cries, she S C R E A M S ... like I am stabbing her or something. I don't know what to do. Any suggestion/help/tips/advice is appreciated. Thanks. :)

A new baby - wow! In many ways, a weiner dog is like living with a three year old - PERMANENTLY. It's important to remember that, just like a kid, you don't want to reinforce the negative behavior. So i think by ignoring the whining, but LAVISHING attention when she does something good is the KEY. You also might try more outdoor exercise - don't know how much walking/playing you are doing, but wearing their cute little butts out always makes them calmer.
If the Car thing is REALLy bad, you might consider investing in a car harness - we have one called Hold -a-dog From Dachshund Delights (http://www.doxidelight.com) that allows you to buckle them into the passenger seat or even look out the window, while preventing them from getting under the brake pedal. You also might take short drives around the block or to the park, NOT the vet so that she begins to associate Car with FUN!
Good LUCK!
